Meet the original Virtual Dynamo: Coach and Founder, Rebecca Trelfa

 

Rebecca started her administrative career at nineteen, while working on dual degrees at her local college.  And, from engineering to wine and spirits brokering--she tried her hand in a number of professions, hoping to find a passion she could call her own.

 

Her skills quickly grew from basic office administration to include business writing, web design, database management, and more.  With a knack for training colleagues and building solid rapport with clientele, her corporate career was moving along nicely.  Unfortunately the daily grind of office politics, petty co-workers, long commutes, and pricy business suits was getting old--fast.

 

Late in 1998, Rebecca was given a tip on a virtual assistance training program from a co-worker.  Her ticket out of dead-end jobs in hand, she signed up immediately.  This was her calling.  At twenty-eight, Rebecca met the millennium head on by launching her official career as a Virtual Assistant on January 1, 2000.

 

While building a solid client base, Rebecca spent much of her time researching ways to network and market herself virtually.  Her research amounted to a wealth of resources.  In the spring of 2001, Rebecca put it all together and founded the first web site to monitor and report on the virtual assistance industry at work-the-web.com.  work-the-web has since evolved into a valuable link resource for anyone working remotely.

 

Rebecca has enjoyed tremendous success as a Virtual Assistant, carving a creative niche for herself by primarily assisting authors, speakers, and coaches.  She credits her success to strong communication skills upon which she was able to build long-term relationships with her clients.

 

In 2004 Rebecca took a chance and decided to re-brand herself as the Virtual Dynamo--an elite among her peers.  The brand has proven to be tremendously successful and her practice has grown and evolved to the point where she now outsources all of her workload to her own elite team.  Expanding her team has also allowed for the company to assist any type of small business.  Today, Rebecca finds satisfaction in coaching and managing remote small business teams, and developing unique, above-standard training programs that are dramatically improving her industry.

 

Always dedicated to growth, Rebecca is currently in the process of forming a full-service network of informative, educational, and resourceful web sites for the virtual assistance industry.

 

On a personal note, Rebecca lives on the Eastern seaboard of Massachusetts with her husband and two daughters.  In her spare time she enjoys writing, reading, Budukon, and hiking.  She currently has several writing projects in the works.
